Genshin Impact just hit the players with Update 2.2, which brought a horde of changes. Yet again, leaks and rumors are now rampant on the web about the next update.

Genshin players just received a massive update a few days ago. Most people are still delving into the new additions to the game. Update 2.2 added a large number of events and a few interesting locations.

A year ago, Genshin Impact was launched amidst the pandemic across all platforms. Genshin travelers found it extremely enticing. Yet like every modern MMORPG, it had one massive flaw. Genshin Impact has no end game.

Update 2.2 took a step forward in that direction. With the addition of the endgame island Inazuma to the mix along with Thoma and Tsurumi Islands, the community predicted the addition of Boss battles in the upcoming update.

Eventually, leakers posted speculations and proof on social media regarding the upcoming Update 2.3. The following rumors and leaks were released regarding Genshin Impact Update 2.3.

Boss Battle Leaked

Leaks posted online have suggested the addition of a new Geo-type Boss known as Planelurker. It is a flying type and attacks travelers with rocky projectiles and massive sandstorms. Even though the boss has resemblances to the Spectral Wolf, the battle seems a lot harder.

Ranged Dps players might have an easier time comparatively. But considering Planelurker’s position in the storyline, it is going to be the boss fight in the entire game. Players need to come prepared before taking on the floating Geo-boss.

Return of Traveling Merchant Liben

Another leak a couple of days ago suggested the return of Primogem merchant Liben. Liben has visited the Genshin realm for various events. During events, players can exchange items and materials.

Liben provides 380 Primogems for completing his tasks. It seems a good investment towards your next 5-star character.

Characters Rumoured in 2.3 Update

Arataki Itto

The update will see the return of the Geo-based melee character Arataki Itto. Genshin Intel leaked a glimpse of his charged attacks melee combo, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst. Itto belongs to the Oni tribe, and his gang helps rid Inazuma of any trouble.

Elemental Skill (Masatsu Zetsugi: Akaushi Burst) is a geo-based attack. Itto also gains one stack of Superlative Super Strength – a passive talent.

Lastly, Itto’s Elemental Burst (Royal Descent: Behold, Itto the Evil) deals damage based on his DEF. ATK SPD and resistance buffs are received for the duration.

Gorou

Gorou is another rumoured character coming with update 2.3. Zethra has showcased beta footage of the Geo bow user.

Gorou’s Elemental Skill (Inuzuka All Round-Defense) deals AoE Geo DMG and grants defensive buffs to Allies in AOE. His Elemental Burst (Juuga: Forward Unto Victory), also AoE DMG, buffs fellow Geo units with similar effects from the Elemental Skill war banner.

Gorou is a resistance fighter in Inazuma. He is the general of Sangonomiyo Kokomi’s army. The reliable commander is known for his determination and tenacity.

Albedo

Albedo is another 5-star character rumoured for release with Genshin Impact’s update 2.3. He is also a Geo-based character with massive damage potential.

Chances are Albedo will be the second-best character after Arataki Itto. The inquisitive knight is the Captain of the Favonius Knights Investigation Team, Teyvat.

Map Changes and Updates

Genshin Impact 2.3 promises new locations, especially after Version 2.2. Sumeru Island seems to be the next stop keeping in mind the story progression.

Sumeru is regarded as the centre of knowledge. Genshin Impact’s travelling merchant, Liben states that “Sumeru is all rainforest and desert”. Players can expect new enemies and bosses to inhabit this ancient area.
